My Interests

I enjoy spending time with my family, working on our ranch, riding horses, gardening, reading books, and traveling. My parents and siblings live in Australia so we try to visit every few years, or have Australian family stay with us.

About Me

I was born in Toowoomba , Queensland, Australia. I came to the United States of America in 1992 on an agricultural work exchange. I met my husband, Tim, and we were married in 1993. Since moving to the USA, I have lived in Highmore, SD, Arlington, SD, and now Hot Springs, SD. Tim and I have been in Hot Springs since 1998. We purchased a ranch south west of Oelrichs and are happy to settle on our own place and make Fall River our permanent home. We have four children, Ryan, 32years of age, Marshall, 30 years of age, Courtney 21 years of age, and Hailey, 19 years of age. I also have four beautiful grandchildren, Brooke 9 years of age, Logan 7 years of age, Kole 4 years of age, and Lily 2 months. All four of our children graduated from Hot Springs High School, with Courtney and Hailey having completed their entire school career in the Hot Springs School District.

Teaching Early Childhood has been a dream and goal of mine for many years, but as we all know, life happens. I finally committed myself to making my goal a reality and enrolled at college in the Fall of 2001 and graduated with my degree in December 2005. I started working in the Hot Springs School District in January 2006.  In the Fall of 2011 I committed to earning my Masters and graduated in 2013 with my MA in Education, Early Childhood Development.  The 2016/2017 school year will be my eleventh year as a preschool teacher.
