The Dakota Corps Scholarship (DCS) application is open for the 2026-2027 academic year.
This program provides South Dakota students the opportunity to receive full college tuition and generally applicable fees in exchange for working in a critical-need occupation within South Dakota after completing their degree.
Eligibility Requirements:
Graduate from SD High School
2.8 GPA or Higher
27 ACT Composite or Superscore
Pursuing a Critical Need Occupation
Attend a participating SD college
Eligible Critical Need Occupations:
High-need Teaching Areas
K-12: Special education, foreign language, vocal or instrumental music, ESL/ELL
Secondary: Math, science, language arts, CTE
Registered Nurse
Engineering (all areas EXCEPT: mining, chemical, biomedical, and computer hardware)
Information Technology
Accountant/Auditor
Students can apply now through December 15, 2025, for 2026-2027 funding, at sdbor.edu/applyforscholarships.
