Go Big Blue!!! The Hot Springs Bison are headed to the State Championship next Saturday in Watertown after a big win today against West Central 3-1. The Hot Springs Bison will take on James Valley Christian at 5pm CT next weekend for the SD State A Championship. Congratulations on the big win Bison! Big thank you to the Hot Springs students and community for showing up today and showing your Bison Pride!

We have a Hot Springs Bison Volleyball Camp opportunity for our 1st-5th Grade students coming up later this month. Register online using the QR code or paper copies of camp registration will be available with your child's teacher. Register by the 15th for a t-shirt to be included with camp. Reach out to Tanna.White@k12.sd.us with any questions. Go Bison!

You may have noticed that we a construction project taking place in the high school parking lot and Case Auditorium. In the next couple of weeks, we will begin a sidewalk project at the elementary school as well. More communication will come as that project nears. We apologize for the inconvenience of these projects. Please speak to your students about staying away from these areas, especially during after school activities like football and volleyball games. We have gates and construction tape up to mark off these areas. We want our community to be safe. Thank you for your support.

Dear Hot Springs Middle School and High School Parents and Guardians,
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the learning environment at Hot Springs Middle School and High School, we will conduct a student climate survey.
This survey will gather student feedback about their experiences at school and help us identify strengths and areas for continued improvement. We will administer the survey electronically through Google Forms to efficiently collect and analyze the information.
The survey will not collect any personally identifying information from students. Additionally, the survey will not ask students questions about personal habits, drug use, alcohol use, or sexual activity. Our goal is to better understand students' perceptions and experiences within our school environment.
We will also provide a separate climate survey for parents and guardians so we can gather your perspective as an important member of our school community.
Participation in the student survey is optional. If you do not want your child to participate, please email me at steve.helgeland@k12.sd.us to opt your child out of the survey.

Our first Cup of Chaos day was a SUCCESS! 🥤💗
My students and I have been working hard to get Cup of Chaos up and running as a way for them to practice real-life skills in a fun, hands-on environment. From preparing drinks and taking orders to handling money, making change, communicating with customers, and working together as a team, they got to put so many important skills into practice on our very first day!
We could not have made it happen without the amazing support of our community. A HUGE thank you to Triple 7 Skillet and Spirits, Bomgarrs, and Sweet and Sassy for their generous donations and support of our students. Your kindness helped give them an opportunity to learn, grow, and be proud of something they created. ❤️
And thank you to everyone who stopped by, ordered a drink, and supported the boys on their first day! Seeing everyone’s excitement and encouragement made the experience even more special.
We are incredibly grateful to live in a community that shows up for our students. 💕 We can’t wait to see where Cup of Chaos goes from here!

Thank you to two senior boys, Ray S. and Holden L., for creating a new "H" for our homecoming "Burning of the H" tradition! Using their welding skills and use of the plasma table in the CTE building, we would say it's a big upgrade! We are ready to get it hooked up to the propane truck Monday night and kick off homecoming after coronation. Coronation is Monday evening at 7 pm in the Case auditorium and will be followed by the Burning of the H on the football practice field.
