Volleyball tonight vs. St. Thomas More
Football tomorrow night vs. Miller

Hello Bison Community-
A kind reminder that we will not have school this coming Monday, September 2nd, in observance of Labor Day. Our students, at all levels, are doing a great job of getting into the swing of the school day and focusing on their academic tasks.

Our soccer team traveled to St. Thomas More this week. Although the final score was 0-2, it sounds like the team did amazing, holding STM scoreless through half time. Proud of our student athletes.

Thank you to Chelsea Carr and Salon 402 for 80 free haircut coupons to Hot Springs School District students. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

The first home football game is on Friday, August 30th vs. Miller/Highmore at 6:PM
The first home Volleyball match is Thursday, August 29th vs. STM in the Case. Times 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00

Just a kind reminder that Hot Springs School District will be dismissing today at 1:30 due to the forecasted high temperatures. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Bison Community,
It has been a fantastic start to the school year and our students and staff are troopers for tolerating the heat. School attendance is so very important and I would state even more important for schools that have limited days on the school calendar compared to those that attend Monday through Friday.
We are doing amazing with attendance so far... thank you to our families for having your students here. Our elementary is rocking it with 98% attendance. High Schoolers are doing just as great being role models with an attendance rate of 96%. And although our Middle Schoolers are at 95%, that is the school goal for every school day. Individually, we do not want students to miss more than eight days of school.
Tomorrow's forecast is going to be the hottest this week. We will plan to dismiss students at 1:30 on Wednesday, August 21st. For students grades PK-8 that depend on parent pick up, we will have supervision and structured activities until 3:45. Thank you for understanding our efforts to balance needing our students at school and working with Mother Nature when it seems she is not done with summer.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me either by phone or school email.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to our school community. What a great turn out last night for our welcome back to school event. It was awesome to see so many students excited to see their teachers, their classrooms, and their friends. The Hot Springs School District staff is equally excited to begin this school year. Monday is going to be a great day. If families were not able to attend, do not worry whatsoever. We will get all students where they need to go and ready on a positive note Monday when we see them. Make this last official weekend of summer a good one.

Bison 6th grade through 12th are invited to pick up their computers tomorrow (Thursday) 9am - noon and then starting again at 2pm through the conclusion of the Bison Are Back event in the Tech Room in the HS. Our preference is that computers are picked up with the student's padded backpack.

Secondary students (Grades 6-12) and parents,
Please check out your computer on Thursday, August 15, in the high school library. You can come from 9am-noon or from 2pm -7pm. See you Thursday!
