Due to arctic temperatures a couple weeks ago, the Region 8 contest was cancelled in Rapid City. We are fortunate to have Dr. Dave Berberick from BHSU coming down to judge our high school band solos that they have prepared on Wed, March 5. Coffee & Doughnuts will be available. Come listen and support our Bison musicians who have worked hard since Christmas in lessons to prepare this solo performance!

The next Educator Rising Chapter meeting will be Wednesday, March 12th at 4:00pm in Ms. Foshee’s classroom. If you missed our first meeting, please feel free to join us in March to learn more about our group. For those students that will be registering to be a “Teacher’s Aide” for the 25-26 school year, this would be a great group to join and learn about potential funding available for Teacher’s Aides. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Foshee and/or Mr. Maciejewski.

Our wrestlers are ready to rock and roll!

Parents of seniors:
Tanya Antijunti, Admissions Specialist from Western Dakota Tech and Andrea Powers from Southern Hills Economic Development, will host a FAFSA work station for seniors and their parents at the parent teacher conference on Monday February 24th from 4:30 to 7 PM.
If your senior is your oldest and you have not helped fill out a FAFSA yet, or if this is your youngest and appreciate the help, please plan to use this free 1:1 help to get this task on a senior's to-do-list done. We thank SDED and WDT for providing our families their time.

Our 7th grade STEM students became automotive engineers! 🚗💥
Their challenge? Build a tiny car out of just 2 pieces of paper and unlimited glue that can protect a raw egg in a crash. They designed and tested their cars, sending them down a ramp to smash into a wall. The goal was to have the fastest car and keep the egg safe! 🏎🥚
Watch to see which designs held up and which ones... cracked under pressure!

Parents of middle and high school students. Parent Teacher conferences are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday from 4:30pm - 7:30pm. Please take time to come in and discuss your child's progress with his/her teachers. Your partnership is key to your child's success. If these dates do not work, please email your child's teachers to ask any questions or share any concerns that you may have. The end of third quarter is closing in and we want to recognize even more students for their excellent academic achievement.
