Happy Wednesday Bison Students and Families. It seems that today is more of a regular school day however we are gearing up for the Elementary Field Day tomorrow. Parents and Families are welcome to attend. Information should have been shared in Class Dojo. Also, tomorrow our secondary Band and Choir Trip is scheduled to leave for Minneapolis. The itinerary for that group sounds amazing.
Parents of middle and high school students: Please see below the dates and times that your student will be turning in their school-issued computers. Please make sure that students have their computer and their charger on the dates below. Happy Tuesday to everyone. What a great Scholarship Awards Night last night. Thank you to our community and organizations for the significant support for our students pursuing post-secondary education. Our third graders have a History Walk planned today. Some of our elementary students with special needs are headed to Old McDonald Farm today too. Let's make it a great day!

What a great weekend for our track athletes to be part of one of the premiere events in South Dakota. Very proud of Kempton, who represented Hot Springs in the Special Olympics 100. Wyatt and Westin also joined in a Hot Springs Unified 4x100 on Saturday.
Our Central Admin Office, SRO McMillan, and two of our school board members cleaned up the HSSD campus this morning. We filled roughly 12 bags of trash (the dirt parking lot was the winner with the most trash). These kids were amazing. Thank you Mr. Kramer's second period weightlifting class.

We will be contacting parents about summer school for high school students in the coming week. Summer school is important for keeping students on pace to graduate. We will run summer school from June2-June 26 (Monday-Thursday). Summer school has two sessions each day (8:30-11:30 and 12:30-3:30).
Unfortunately, we will not have Middle School sessions this year. If you have any question, please contact the school.

A beautiful day to end our school week. Just said good luck to our track athletes leaving for the Howard Wood trackmeet. Our 2nd and 4th graders are headed on field trips today. It is School Principal Day today. THANK YOU Mr. Klinkhammer, Mr. Reynolds, and Mrs. Trevillyan for your amazing dedication to this school district.
