The race for the most Dakotamart receipts is as close one. This friendly competition ends on Thursday.

Our School Board meeting last night had so many awesome guests in attendance. Our Special Olympic athletes and our theater students led the pledge and then shared information about each of their programs. One of our students is both a Special Olympics athlete and was involved in the theater production of Harry Potter. The talent of our students did not stop there. Our student council presented information about how they, as school leaders, want to positively impact the climate of their school. And lastly we had students from FFA (some that had literally just came from an athletic practice) to do a Parli Pro Demonstration. Our school board was so impressed they offered to leave for the evening and have the students continue running the school board meeting. Thank you to all of our students for sharing your passions and representing your programs.

An example of the "giving spirit." I had the privilege of being part of a training to certify instructors for archery. I do not think my skill set is to that level (yet) however with a full class, NASP provides the local youth archery club with more equipment. What I love about this community and this SCHOOL community is the love for kids. The training included myself, a board member, a board member's spouse, a parent of a student in archery, and teacher's spouse. How awesome is that!!! (Dr. K. Cumbow)

From our awesome PTA:
1. Our PTA meeting is moved up one week this month and will be taking place on Monday at 4:15 in the elementary staff lounge. Please let me know if you plan to attend. We always love to see new people join us when they can! :)
2. We are hosting a holiday lunch on Wednesday, the 11th, for the teachers and staff of the school. We have six individuals that volunteered to make chili and PTA is providing salads, fruit and fixings. However, we still need drinks and treats donated. If you are willing, please sign-up below. Your donations will need to be turned into the middle school or elementary office by the start of the day. If this doesn't work for you, I can also arrange a different drop off point the day before. Thank you for your help celebrating our great teachers!
